Meet the Vets
Dr. Navia and Dr. Chiang used to work together as veterinary assistants. They quickly became friends and vowed to open an animal hospital together one day that would be inclusive and affordable.

After reuniting as veterinarians in the same hospital, they knew they wanted to start something special. Soon, the stars aligned, and they decided the time was right to start a partnership.
Dr. Gina Navia
Dr. Gina Navia grew up in Burbank, CA and became interested in veterinary medicine after taking her first anatomy class in high school. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, she started in the field as a veterinary assistant. While working as an assistant for over 4 years she obtained her Masters of Science in Environmental Biology. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. She has a passion for animal welfare and exotic medicine. Dr. Navia is fluent in Spanish and is committed to providing exceptional pet care at South Pasadena Animal Hospital. She has a special interest in working with small animals and exotics, including birds, hamsters, and guinea pigs.
Dr. Sylvia Chiang
Dr. Sylvia Chiang was born and raised in Los Angeles, always having a passion for animal health. Before becoming a veterinarian, she ventured into different fields including graphic design and cooking, but came back to her true love of vet med. She still enjoys such hobbies. She traveled to many places including Davis, CA and St. Kitts, then Corvallis, Oregon (OSU) to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Although she only sees dogs and cats, her favorite animal is the sea otter. When she is not helping animals, she enjoys spending time with family, practicing Pilates, and traveling.
